Meet Pauline Frommer in Washington, DC, March 29–30
It’s that time of year again! If you’re an avid traveler, you know that there are few events as helpful—or as exciting—as the annual Travel & Adventure Shows.
And this year promises to be a lollapalooza, thanks to a packed lineup of experts coming to the Washington Convention Center on March 29-30
Peter Greenberg, the CBS News Travel Editor, will be sharing his insights, as will award-winning travel writer and movie star Andrew McCarthy. PBS sensation Mickela Mallozzi, host of Bare Feet with Mickela Mallozzi, will also be speaking, along with Patricia Schultz, author of 1000 Places to See Before You Die.
Additionally, there will be dance and music performances on the cultural stages as well as thousands of location experts at booths, giving insider advice on Costa Rica, Barbados, Cyprus, Croatia, Tokyo, African safaris, cruises, and much more.

Of course, I’m telling you about all this because I want you to hear my new speech, which will celebrate the legacy of my father Arthur Frommer, reveal the latest tips on where to go in 2025, and explain how to travel more cost effectively in today’s travel world.
I will be speaking on Saturday at noon and Sunday at 1pm on the large Travel Theater stage.
But if you’d like to discuss your next vacation with me personally, or if you want me to sign one of our Frommer’s books for you, visit the show’s bookstore booth for meet-and-greets throughout both days. I will be making myself available there all weekend.
And here’s another secret: You don’t have to pay to get in.
General admission tickets are normally £18 for one day and £26 for both days. But for free entry, go to the Travel & Adventure Show website and enter the promo code FrommersVIP. Note that this code only works for freebies on advance tickets booked on or before Friday, March 28. The code is not valid for same-day tickets or at the door.
Hope to see you there or at the show, D.C.!
